Graham Hancock
Graham Hancock is a British writer and journalist who became famous for his unconventional theories about ancient civilizations. Born in Edinburgh, Scotland, he spent his early years in India where his father worked. He began his career as a journalist, working for The Economist as East Africa correspondent from 1981-1983. After leaving mainstream journalism, Hancock devoted himself to investigating and writing about ancient mysteries, alternative historical theories, and consciousness. He has authored numerous bestselling books including 'Fingerprints of the Gods' (1995), 'Supernatural' (2005), and 'America Before' (2019). Hancock's work primarily focuses on challenging conventional archaeological and historical narratives, suggesting that an advanced civilization existed during the last ice age and was largely destroyed around 12,800 years ago. While mainstream academics largely reject his theories, he has developed a significant following and influenced public discourse about ancient history.
